Another beautiful morning. Sunshine and roses and spring is definitely here in Texas!
We did not plan to go to Dallas but we are so close and we have not found new boots yet – let’s go!
As we leave Waxahachie and head for Dallas we notice the ranches and cattle have been replaced by quite a bit of industry. Including Whataburger. We should try that sometime!
We have been to Dallas twice before and really enjoyed the city – we are hoping today will be fun as well.
Even though there is construction in downtown Dallas, it is easier to navigate than Austin. Weird!

We can’t remember where we got boots last time we were here – but the internet is a great place and hightly recommends Pink’s. Good selection and great customer service. We shall see!
Nice store – something for everyone! We get our boots – nothing as exotic as gator or rattlesnake – but good leather boots. This guy knows boots and feet – so we are comfy and happy! How about a good place for lunch? He recommends two spots – one is really close by – we opt for that one!
Way too much to choose from – and only smoked with hickory!

We make our way back to Waxahachie.
As we approach our hotel we notice they are working on the railroad tracks – always something on the rail system this way! It has been a great day!
We gas up the car for tomorrow’s adventure – not sure what that will be – but it will be something good! Time for a cupcake?
