Day Ten – September 18, 2108

Day Ten – September 18, 2018

Katri has a meeting at 10am so she heads into work and will take the afternoon off.  Jason works from home.  We have some running to do – AAA for Nevada map and Nevada tour book replacements.  Somewhere between Rochester and Las Vegas those items went missing!

Victoria’s Secrets because we have coupons that expire tomorrow!  And a few other stops.

Back at the house we have leftovers for lunch and enjoy eating out on the patio. We brought these camping chairs from Rochester – we have had them for quite some time.  They are small enough to pack easily.

I feel something give so I pass my plate to Dale just as my chair broke at the cast iron coupler and I fall hard onto the patio.

I did not break the plate!  A bit sore but fine – we decide to seek out new chairs and go to another development with a model home.  Target does the job for us as Katri and Jason buy us new chairs!

The Toll Brothers model is stunning – in every way.  The attention to detail, the finishes, the layout – the yard, the lot!  No wonder this is the one they keep coming back to!  As this is the last Toll Brothers home in this development there will likely be a bidding war for purchase – it is already over one million dollars so that is pretty steep.  But beautiful!

Back to the house – we get ready for our last night in Vegas: dinner, Bingo, bowling and slots.  We are off to Red Rock Casino and Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ for dinner.

Pulled Pork Queso Dip for starters

Jambalaya

BBQ Tri-tips

Tri Tip Salad

All good!

Time for Bingo.  Dale has never played – and Nancy has not every played in a professional manner.  This is intense – Kate buys markers for our Bingo booklets while Jason buys the booklets.  He tells us this is a great bargain for entertainment – $5.00 and a free drink each.  We gear up and then the action begins and it is really ramping up!  Letters – numbers more letters and more numbers and it’s hard to catch your breath as the game progresses rather quickly.  Then the bubble gets burst as someone else cries out “Bingo” and as that person’s game gets verified – we move onto the next game.

The hour passes by in a flash and we did not win – but had a great time.

It is getting late and we are tired – so we forego the bowling until we come back again.  Jason is eager to see if I can win again at the slots – but it isn’t going as I hoped and I lose.

Back to the house for a final night on the patio and sleep.
