It’s been a long time since we have been on a road trip – with over two years of COVID awareness/fear/loathing/anxiety/frustration – we are in pursuit of new dreams! Not that COVID has left the planet, or will leave anytime soon, but time to move on and really enjoy life!
We’ve been trying to downsize our NY State home in hopes of making Florida our permanent residence. We have plastic totes full of kid’s toys, books, mementos, and miscellaneous items they have not claimed from our attic. There are also some family things we are hoping to pass along to them as they all have their own homes now. That’s what we have been working on for the last few years – and it still doesn’t look like we have made much progress. Guess that’s what living in the same house for 35 years will do – accumulate stuff.
It seems Dale’s siblings have the same idea as our house now has additional “stuff” from their attics to distribute to the kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Thus this road trip – to share the collected memorabilia!
